On November 2nd we held our Ace of the Year tournament and all thirteen eligible aces participated. Congratulations to Paulette Emond, our 2011 Ace of the Year, with a net score of 75. On November 16th we held our annual Turkey Shoot. We had a good turnout of 35 players. The lunch after play was wonderful! Thank you Joan Christ and Evelyn Conant for chairing this tournament. And again, thanks to Joan and Evelyn, who were the chairpersons. A reminder to our WOWGA members regarding our Christmas luncheon and awards program to be held December 7. Sign-up in the locker room. Festivities begin at 11:00 a.m., with social time and games; a short membership meeting at 11:30; at noon we will have lunch and a fashion show put on by Wink and also clothing from our pro-shop. The cost is $16.00, which includes tax and tip. Please bring two dozen cookies for a cookie exchange, and also bring non-perishable food items for our charity P.A.T.H. (Poor and the Homeless). Following lunch, there will be an optional four-person, nine hole scramble for an additional $5.00. Make your own team, and sign up in the locker room. Great to have you ladies with us. Congratulations to Cathy Gumm and Dianne Angelich. They attended the WGANC Sassy Sixties, held November 7th & 8th at Lake Merced and Crystal Springs Golf Club, and placed third low gross in their flight. Way to go, Ladies!
